Born and raised in Helsinki, Finland, Jutto is incredibly independent and prefers his own company. As a teenager, he spent much of his time reading novels and watching American sci-fi films and TV series. A desire to learn English became apparent and it was through watching online series and using subtitling, that he self- taught the English language. He then trained to become a website developer in his home country but later left his career behind and relocated to the UK to pursue his passion for Sci-Fi art and his childhood sweetheart and now wife, Cristina. He enjoys painting with his three-year-old son and takes inspirations from rewatching all the classic films with his toddler. Jutto uses his knowledge and love of Iconic American figures, presidency and Sci-Fi films as inspiration for his work. Often the American colours will be scattered throughout his work as a symbol and acknowledgement towards American Sci–Fi films that he spent his childhood watching. He loves to develop and incorporate the ideas suggested by his son and focuses on making them into unique art ideas. The backgrounds and patterns that you see throughout his work are often designs based upon swirls and doodles that he has created with his son. His creativity often depends on his mood and what ideas he has at the time. Across the two ranges, you find vivid, contrasting colours and solid colour backgrounds. The characters are overcome by the fierce determination of their role. On the contrary, some of his work is clouded by a free-flowing, watercolour background. His artwork is bold and feature the eery side of Sci-Fi. The way he utilises shadows and depth within his work, alongside the burnt colours he repeatedly uses, relay the message which epitomizes the conflict, battle and strong association with danger within Sci-Fi.
